20 overpriced things that are worth every penny pin

20 Things That Are Worth Every Penny

The following list is a combination of life experiences – from my own to the many groups and forums online. Enjoy!

1. Good Quality Food

Splurging on real, whole foods is worth every penny in your long-term health. Cheap food is cheap now. But it will also destroy your health as you get older.

2. An Uber home instead of a DUI

The cost of an Uber is far less than the legal, financial, and personal toll of a DUI.

3. Dental Care

Preventive dental work can save you from more expensive (and painful) problems later.

4. Education

Obviously, not all education expenses are worthwhile. But educating yourself pays off in lifelong benefits.

5. Divorce

This comes up often in groups and forums. The truth is, if you’re in a miserable relationship, divorce is well worth the cost of getting your life back.

6. A High-Quality Mattress & Pillows

A good night’s sleep is invaluable. Investing in quality bedding pays off in well-being.

7. Household Help

Paying for regular cleaning reduces stress and frees up time. It also forces you to stay tidy and eliminate clutter.

8. LASIK Eye Surgery

Eye surgery is expensive. But If your vision is bad, or you’re sick of glasses and contacts, it’s a big boost for your quality of life.

It’s one of the things in my life I would do again in a heartbeat!

9. Good Quality Shoes & Socks

Proper shoes and quality socks prevent discomfort and long-term health issues, making them worth every penny.

10. Movers

movers might be overpriced, but they're worth it!

The last time my family moved, we did it ourselves. We decided it would be the last time we didn’t use movers! It’s worth the cost of the physical effort, time, and mental stress.

11. Quality Pots and Pans

Cheap ones flake, scratch, warp, scorch, or don’t transfer heat evenly. A good set will help prevent cooking disasters and health risks.

12. Kids & Pets

You won’t love anything the way you love your kids. So, if having kids is right for you, it’s worth the costs that come with it.

Life is full of ups and downs. Having medical insurance when you have an accident or serious illness makes all the difference in your stress levels around money.

Tires aren’t the kind of thing you want to cheap out on!
