Good Things Take Time
Everyone is looking for a shortcut these days. But you and I know that those don’t work when you want real results.
So, today, let’s note some of the most extraordinary, wondrous things in our society. And realize how long they took.
True excellence requires patience and vision.
Things like:
The beautiful Taj Mahal in India – took 20 years to build.
The awe-inspiring Sistine Chapel- took Michaelangelo over 4 years to paint.
Household names, like Walmart – started with a single person, and took decades to grow into the massive business it is today.
The Lord of the Rings book took 12 years to write, and another 5 to publish.
The point is: if the progress you seek on your goals or work isn’t coming as fast as you’d like, consider that the best things take time. (And sometimes your progress is invisible.)
Stick with it, and you’ll be so proud. And glad you did in the end.
Remove a temptation. This week, put a magnifying glass on your life.
When are you getting tripped up? What triggers are holding you back? What cue can you just not resist?
Take away at least one!
I am open to new opportunities today.
Are you building wealth? (Is your bank account/portfolio growing every day?)
Why do goalkeepers have so much money in the bank?
Answer: Because they are really good at saving!
