Why This Brownie Mix Is So Amazing

This is hands-down the EASIEST homemade food gift I’ve made so far. It only requires a few ingredients (that you probably already have) and can be made in less than 5 minutes. Plus, it’s a fabulous gift for almost everyone. Who doesn’t love a batch of warm gooey brownies when a sugar craving hits?!

Supplies You’ll Need

For the dry mix, you’ll need:

1 cup granulated sugar
½ cup all-purpose flour
⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon baking powder
Mason jar (I prefer the wide mouth jars and plastic lids)

Approximate cost: $3-$4, depending on how fancy your jars are. This is a great gift to make in bulk for multiple people too (which will make it even cheaper per jar).

To make the mix all you need to do is sift together the dry ingredients and pour them into the jar. Easy peasy!

This jar of brownie mix makes awesome and affordable birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, and thank you gifts. Next, follow these steps for a gift your recipient will adore:

Download and print the free printable tags below (I prefer printing on white cardstock because it’s more durable)
Cut out the tag(s) that you want
Punch a hole using a hole puncher at the top of each tag and attach the tags with ribbon or twine.

Gifting Note:

I opted to use a medium size jar. But you could use a large mason jar and double the mix or add mix-ins on the top to fill in the extra space (and make it extra delicious).
